Location
Le Saline Hotel is located at a few kilometres from Trapani-Birgi ("Vincenzo Florio") airport and from Trapani town (with its port and the boarding point towars Egadi Islands, Pantelleria, Tunisi, etc.). both the destinations are reachable in about 10-15 minutes by car. through the following interactive map it is possible to see hotel location in relation to the other places of interest.
The structure is located close to Trapani and Paceco Saline Nature Reserve that can be visited on foot, staying in our hotel, without any means of transport. The Reserve is managed by WWF and during the different seasons of the year hosts several vegetable and animal species, being a natural environment of great scientific and naturalist interest. Among the species, which can be observed there are also the pink flamingos, which go through the Reserve during the migrant ways.
The Reserve has also an important interest on the anthropological point of view . Inside it (at about 5 minutes away from the hotel) there is the characteristic “Salt Museum”, which hold all the old instruments of the harvest and manufacturing of sea salt and where it is also possible to buy souvenir and have a qualified guide.
